You’ve made it! After months (maybe years) of planning, you’re officially in the final countdown. With just one week to go until your wedding day, the excitement is real—and so are the nerves. At KSA Weddings, we’ve been alongside hundreds of couples during these final few days, and we know what helps ease the pressure and make space for joy.
So take a deep breath, pour a cup of tea (or fizz!), and read through our tried-and-tested advice to make your final week feel calm, meaningful, and memorable.
1. Finalise a Realistic Timeline (and Share It!)
By now, your suppliers should all have key details, but now’s the time to make sure everyone—from your venue to your bridal party—has a clear timeline. Include:
- Arrival times for suppliers
- Hair and makeup schedules
- Ceremony and reception timings
- Sunset time for golden hour photos!
- Buffer time for, well... real life.
Bonus tip: Print a few copies and hand them out at the rehearsal or welcome dinner.
2. Do a Full Outfit Dress Rehearsal
Put on everything—your dress or suit, shoes, accessories, veil, undergarments, etc. Walk around, sit down, dance a little. This is your chance to make last-minute tweaks or break in those stunning-but-stubborn heels.
3. Prep a Wedding Day Survival Kit
Whether it's packed by your maid of honour, planner, or you, make sure you’ve got a bag with essentials like:
- Mints, plasters, painkillers
- Safety pins and fashion tape
- Blotting paper or powder
- Snacks (please eat on the day!)
You’ll thank yourself later.
4. Confirm with All Vendors
Don’t assume silence means all is well. Do a quick run-through:
✅ Confirm final numbers with caterers
✅ Double-check arrival times with your photographer/videographer (hello!)
✅ Ensure DJ/band has the playlist and timeline
✅ Confirm logistics with your venue (e.g. table layout, parking, access)
We’ll do our part too—KSA Weddings always confirms final details in this week so you’re not chasing anyone!
5. Delegate Like a Pro
You shouldn’t be the one fielding calls on the morning of your wedding. Assign point people:
- A family member for last-minute venue questions
- A bridesmaid/groomsman for guests who get lost or run late
- A trusted friend for handling payments/tips
Delegating allows you to actually be present. And that’s what matters.
6. Spend Time Together (Without Talking Logistics)
Take a night off the planning. Go for a walk, grab dinner, or just stay in and reminisce. Reconnect with each other. Remind yourselves why you’re doing this.
7. Soak in the Little Moments
This week will fly. Try to slow down and appreciate the tiny things—your mum ironing your veil, your partner laughing mid-toast prep, the calm before the party.
They’re the in-between moments, but they’re magic. And we’ll be there to capture them.
8. Trust the Day Will Be Perfect—Because It Will Be Yours
Something might run late. The weather might surprise you. A button might pop off. But none of that will matter. What you’ll remember is the joy. The laughter. The moment you saw each other. The way you felt.
So let go. Dance hard. Cry freely. Love loudly.
You’ve got this. And we’ve got you.
If you're still ironing out final details or want to make sure everything runs perfectly on the day, get in touch—we're more than happy to share a few extra tips from behind the lens. After all, we've been through this a hundred times. You're only doing it once.
See you at the altar. 📸
